The biographical sports drama film "42" is the number one movie over the weekend. The movie which is about the life of baseball player Jackie Robinson raked in $116.6 million ticket sales but ticket sales was 13.4% down based on last week's tally.

42 stars Chadwick Boseman as Robinson, Harrison Ford as Branch Rickey, Christopher Meloni as Leo Durocher, John C. McGinley as Red Barber, T. R. Knight as Harold Parrott, Lucas Black as Pee Wee Reese and Nicole Beharie as Rachel Isum. The movie is rated A+ by the CinemaScore rating, which is quite rare and has garnered 63 Metacritic or generally positive reception.

Scary Movie 5 which premiered last week debutted on number two while last week's number one movie "Evil Dead" slipped to number five this week. Completing the top five movies are "The Croods" and "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" which falls on number 3 and 2 respectively.
