Posy Lane Backpack for Kids Review
Hot Pink Gingham Mint Medium Backpack
Last month, I heard from my blogger friend Jade about the Posy Lane bags, which you can personalize with your name embroidered on the bags. I contacted Posy Lane for a product review and in just 9 days, I got the bag for my niece Samantha direct from Texas, USA.

I requested for the Hot Pink Gingham Mint Medium Backpack embroidered with Curlz font and Raspberry thread color. By the way, aside from personalized children's backpacks that I'm reviewing, you can select from Posy Lane's wide selection of products like towels, personalized lunch totes, iPhone cases, bath towel wraps (which would look awesome on me), tote bags, duffle bags, hats, place mats and more. And of course, their products can be personalized!

So what do I think of the Hot Pink Gingham Mint Medium Backpack? Here are some of the good and a few of the bad points.

LOOK AND DESIGN - Rating: 4 out of 5
The first time I opened the package, I was pleasantly surprised that it actually looked better than the image from the website. It is well-made and the personalized embroidery done perfectly!

QUALITY - Rating: 3.5 out of 5
When I requested for a backpack, my initial thought was my niece will use it as a school bag. But I'm not sure if this bag can withstand heavy books and school supplies. I also noticed that it lacks extra pockets inside, which will be useful for some extra storage. This may not be ideal as a school bag but it can fit well to bring during my niece's swimming class or as a going out bag.

PRICE - Rating: 3.5 out of 5
The price for the medium backpack is actually $23.25. It's just right for the size and the quality of the bag. The embroidered name actually costs a fixed price of $6. I find this quite expensive since it's already done by the machine. Maybe they could price it per letter for a reduced price?

VARIETY - Rating: 5 out of 5
As mentioned above, Posy Lane offers a lot of products. What I like about Posy Lane is that they offer products of the same theme. So if you already have a Hot Pink Gingham Mint Medium Backpack, you can match it with a Hot Pink Gingham Mint Snack Square, Hot Pink Gingham Mint Nap Mats or Hot Pink Gingham Mint Lunch Box/Tote. Kids would love their matchy things!

SHIPPING - Rating: 3.5 out of 5
Posy Lane is based in Texas, USA. For Domestic shipping, a fixed rate of $6.75 will be charged. For International shipping, orders will be weighed and the exact postage will be calculated by the US Postal Service. Domestic turn-around time usually takes 1-2 business days for non-personalized items and 3-4 business days for personalized items. For my case, which is international shipping, it took 9 days including weekends.

So what's my verdict? The Hot Pink Gingham Mint Medium Backpack that I got for my niece is actually a good buy. I can't wait for my niece to get to try it. When she learned about this bag, she can't wait for me to come home. Watch out for the photos of Samantha with her new bag.

the design is cute but IMHO from the looks of it, the material used isn't heavy duty. ripstop nylon fabric i think is the best one for backpack.:)
