ADA's Tips to Ensure a Sanitary Dentist Visit
If you prioritize your dental health like I do, you need to check the tips by the American Dental Association or ADA on how to ensure a sanitary dental visit. I have to say that these measures should be strictly followed by every dentist and patients have to be weary if the instruments used are well sanitized.

I have to add on that you need to research the qualifications of your dentist before having a first consultation with them. Sometimes, recommendation by friends is not enough.

Wearing safety gloves and mask can protect the patient and the staff from illness and stuff. Whenever I go to the dentist, the lady that cleans my teeth always wear mask and gloves with matching goggles :)

That's good to know. I just visited a dentist too and so far she wore mask, glasses and gloves. her clinic looks clean though it's tiny.

my sister works in a dental office here in the US. and she said it's really part of their routine to disinfect all of their equipments to make sure everything is clean and germ free for the patients the following day. so you are right we couldnt take chances especially if it involves our own health and safety.

I agree that we should see to it that they are doing their job in proper way. Proper sanitation is an important thing. A simple cleaning of our teeth may lead to a very serious disease if there's no proper sanitation.
