Sentosa's Magical 4D Experience

Last week, I finally completed the 4D experience at Sentosa. When my sister visited months ago in Singapore, we were only able to try the Desperados and of course the staple Luge and Sky Ride.

Thanks to my blogger friend Jade, I was referred to the people of Sentosa 4D Magix. With me are 2 of my fellow bloggers and one friend. Our call time was 2:30 PM and I was pumped up to go to Sentosa to enjoy the beach early morning. Sadly though when we reached the beach area, it was already drizzling. We found a hut near the lifeguard station and waited patiently for the rain to stop. You know how strict the lifeguards here when it's raining, you can't swim because of the lightning.

Since the rain won't stop, we had decided to have our lunch and to meet our two blogger friends. When our count was completed, we headed to the 4D location. At the entrance, we were greeted by Zerika, Shannon and Grace of Sentosa 4D Magix. After our introductions and some chit chat , we headed to the first attraction which is Pirates in 4D. The whole experience lasted for about fifteen minutes and you can hear from the audience that they were delighted especially the kids. The movie came to life with close to real-to-life effects of the birds, spiders, bees, bats and of course some splashes of water.

Are you wondering why their legs are up in the air?
The second attraction was Desperados in 3D If you haven't tried this attraction, you need to ride a saddle with your glasses on. You have to aim your gun to the targets in the screen. As you ride through fighting the bandits, you gallop along which gives the entire experience an interactive element. Isn't that amazing? Of course the best shooters faces will be displayed at the end of the each two rounds.  And if you're really a great shooter, you will be included in the Desperados Top Scorer Hall of Fame. Did I make it on the list? Well, make a visit and check if my name is amongst the best!

The last attraction was the Extreme Log Ride. Before you can take part of this ride, guests will be housed first at the Preview room. You will be amazed with the various strobe lights, laser effects, fog and sound affects. After the preview and some precautions by the in-house jungle man, guests will be instructed to go to the cool theatre that houses 9 motion capsules. Each motion capsule operates on a state-of-the-art 6-axis motion system can accommodate 6 people. The ride actually mimics the actual feeling of riding a roller coaster. Guests can expect thrill of going to the top of the mountains and the rush down to the deepest valley.

So what's my pick for best attraction in Sentosa's 4D Magix?  Definitely, it's Desperados.

If you're heading to Sentosa, don't forget to check out the 4D attractions.  They currently have an Adventure Combo wherein you can get to experience all three attractions for only S$36.90, usual price is S$50.
