After my research, it gave me the push to try it out for the many health benefits. Not only it will help you with detoxification, it will also help you with weight loss.
Anyway, here are some of the benefits of fasting:
1) cleansing of internal organs
3) better sleep
4) clearer skin
5) more energy
6) improved digestion
7) clarity of mind
Did you know that when we eat, 65% of our energy are directed to the digestive organs. During fasting, this energy will be diverted in repairing cells, tissues and organs.

If you're interested in fasting, you can follow how the Muslims do it. They will have their first meal of the day before sunset. You can hydrate yourself with water or fruit juices during your fast. You can break your fast by 6PM or 7PM. I suggest that you don't eat heavily.
So what did I gain during my two days fasting? I noticed that my tummy is a bit smaller and I don't feel bloated after a meal. I still have a long way to go before I can feel the other benefits. So fasting might be a once a week habit for me from now on.
