I have finally received the goodie bag for the Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2010. The goodie bag includes the official Yellow Ribbon Prison Run 2010 running shirt, arm pouch, number bib, timing tag, race handbook and the yellow ribbon shoelace.

I have tried the running shirt and I was disappointed that it was so over sized. It looks comfortable though. Anyway, I'm not wearing that singlet anyway (maybe).

Yesterday I have started running a way bit farther than I'm used to. This is still in preparation for the fun run this this coming Sunday. I know I am being over the top but I want to be in top shape. I want to finish the race without gasping for air. Anyway, I was glad to finish the 4 kilometers stretch which is twice of Yishun Park.

After the run, I was so exhausted. I went to rest for a bit then went to hear the 11:45 mass. I was sleepy though during the mass. After the mass, I went to Northpoint where I had lunch at Mc Donald's. By the way, on my way to Northpoint, I saw again this blind Singaporean while singing the Chinese version of Freddie Aguilar's "Anak." It just made me proud to be a Filipino even with the current situation in Hong Kong.

I have finally seen Chestnuts 3D: Fried Monty aka A Nightmare on Glee Street hours ago. This is a comedy theatre which was held at the Jubilee Hall of Raffles Hotel. My local friends and I are booked a month ago and I was honestly not that eager to watch it. I have this mentality that Singaporeans doesn't speak well in English and for that matter they can't sing compared to the singers of the Philippines.

Anyway, I was blown away. I was very impressed with the four actors especially Jonathan Lim and Judee Tan. I was laughing hard with the Ris Low's sister segment. She's so witty and funny.  Jonathan Lim, Chestnuts creator was hilarious and very talented.  He can sing a different Chinese and English song in one set.

In Chestnuts 3D, you can expect the following segments: The Full Monty, Lady Gaga, The Karate Kid, Ip Man 2, Emily of Emerald Hill, National Day Rally 2010, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Mediacorp’s Can You Serve?, JJ Lin, Animal Farm, Kit Chan in December Rains and Dick Lee’s Fried Rice Paradise.

It was a tragic Monday for the Philippines and Hong Kong after the hostage crisis that had happened. Ex-policeman Rolando Mendoza armed with an M-16 assault rifle held 25 people hostage in Manila. After a 12-hour standoff, Mendoza was shot dead and eight Hong Kong nationals were killed while seven suffered injuries.

It had showed how weak our government and our police force are. And the whole world were watching blow-by-blow of the account. It has tarnished our image and I don't know how are we going to turn this incident into a good thing.

Anyway, this morning I was informed by my Filipino officemates that we're on the front page again. Apparently, there are photos of our police force smiling at the back of the crime scene. These people are so insensitive. Not just insensitive but also mal educado. It just makes me mad. They are even smiling for God sake. Please show some respect!

ABS-CBN's primetime soap opera "Tayong Dalawa" (The Two Of Us) will premiere on Channel 5 here in Singapore this coming August 31, 2010 at 7:00 P.M. The Two Of Us is ABS-CBN's 2009 drama series that features Kim Chui, Gerald Anderson, Jake Cuenca and other veteran Philippine actors.

According to Wikipedia, the story revolved around fraternal twin brothers (Jake Cuenca and Gerald Anderson) who share the same name, the same aspirations, and the same lady-of-interest (Kim Chiu).

Kudos to ABS-CBN for this achievement. I heard from my officemate that GMA 7's MariMar will also be shown in Channel 5. Oh no Marian please!

Last Sunday, I went to Commonwealth and did some running shoes shopping. The Prison Run is just a week from now and I need to get a new shoes right away. According to my friends, the best shoes for running are Asics and New Balance.

If you want cheap running shoes, better head to Queensway Shopping Centre, which is just walking distance to Ikea and Anchorpoint Shopping Centre. After strolling the mall, I was able to get a new Asics running shoes for only S$149. I think I got it discounted for 30%. Thanks to my friend who got the discount for me.

Anyway, after Queensway, we headed to Anchorpoint Shopping Centre, where most of the shops are outlet stores. I wasn't able to buy something so we headed for our final stop which is "Ikea Heaven." On my list, I only need to buy a new wall clock and a set of hangers. Sadly, I went overboard again and purchased a fitted sheet, quilt, lint remover, a cute lamp and the wall clock. I saw again the sheepskin rug, which I have been drooling for two years. On my birthday this October I promise to get it for myself. Quite expensive though S$69.

Back to my running shoes, I have finally used it hours ago in the gym. It felt really good on my feet. I really like the cushion and the support I'm getting. Fun Run, here I come! Continue reading this article...

It is not Halloween yet I had this spooky experience last night. I was out last night watching Step Up 3D at AMK Hub. The movie finished almost 11. Would you believe a movie like that would take 2 hours?

Back to my story... I finally reached my block and I was on my way to the lift. No one was there so I eagerly pressed my floor number and immediately closed the lift door. If I can recall, when it reached 7th floor I was affirmative that I heard someone said "hay" or "hi". My floor is on the 9th so I have thought to just ignore it. When the lift opened at 9th, I walked very fast even staring at my back. Now I know why those characters in  scary movies tend to look at their backs.

I was so scared that even at our own flat I was thinking/imagining that it might appear somewhere.

36 more days to go and the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix is back. The event will run for three days from September 24 to 26. The Grand Prix will be on the 26th at exactly 8 P.M.

By the way, if you purchase a ticket to the grand prix, you will be entitled to the concert at the Padang Stage, Zone 1 Village Stage and Zone 4 Esplanade Outdoor Theatre. The biggest in music acts will be performing including Mariah Carey and Adam Lambert.

There are a total of 3,529 delegates all over the world that will participate in the 29 sports discipline. Here are the round down of the disciplines: Aquatics - Diving, Aquatics - Swimming, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Boxing, Canoe-Kayak, Cycling, Equestrian, Fencing, Football, Gymnastics - Artistic, Gymnastics - Rhythmic, Gymnastics - Trampoline, Handball, Hockey, Judo, Modern Pentathlon, Rowing, Sailing, Shooting, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Triathlon, Volleyball, Weightlifting and Wrestling.

Over the weekend, I have finally visited Kuala Lumpur for the first time. It was a long five hours bus ride and I must say that it wasn't fun at all. Anyway, here are the places that I've been to for one night and one day.

and 2 malls that I have forgotten the name

To those who want to go to Kuala Lumpur via Singapore, you can take the First Coach bus at Novena Square to Bangsar. Round trip ticket will cost you S$55. The cheapest I think in all bus service that I saw online. There are a lot of budget hotels but make sure to check the reviews well. Stay away with Winsin Hotel! The bath towel smells awful, the aircon is noisy and hot and the bed sheet and pillow cases are dirty.

It was the 1st year death anniversary of President Cory Aquino yesterday. To commemorate this occasion, the family of the late President commissioned a photo mosaic with more than 3,200 photos of late President. The said mosaic is 76x70 meters, which was even submitted to Guinness World Records.
