Anyway, we went for the Steamboat at Beach Road. I forgot already the name of the restaurant. We had shrimp, crab sticks, beef, vegetables and seafood that I am not familiar to. I was seated on the corner right of the table, which is the best seat. The smoke of the barbecue grill didn't reach me. I just pity my other friends seated near the stove and grill. Not only they did the cooking but the smoke was their natural air for almost two hours.
Anyway, we had this funny crab incident. One of my friends told us that she noticed this local couple that kept on finishing the crab. On the third refill of the crab, the couple once again went running for it. Since we haven't had a crab yet, my friend rushed there. Would you believe that if my friend did not go there, the lady would have finished the whole portion of the crab?
Before we left the restaurant, I was amazed with the couple still munching the crab. Aren't they afraid of dying? They are like on their early 60s.
The next day after I had my egg breakfast I noticed that my tummy ached. Hours later, it was confirmed LBM. A total of four trips to the toilet including the toilet pool. I asked my friends from the Pulau Ubin trip and the two of them had tummy aches.
If you're going for a steam boat, better go to Seoul Garden. More choices definitely!

Since it was a holiday, my friends and I went to Pulau Ubin, which is an island of Singapore. It is located in the northeast part of Singapore, which is near Punggol, Pasir Ris and Changi. To get there, you need to need to ride a boat at Changi for only 2.50 SGD. It will only take you five to ten minutes to the island. Make sure to apply OFF to your skin as there are many insects in the island.
We reached Pulau Ubin almost lunch time where we ate at this Seafood restaurant near the bike stores. If I can recall, we had calamari, sweet and sour pork, buttered shrimp, mixed vegetables, clams and seafood fried rice. After our long lunch, we went to the bike stores to check the prices. One of the attractions of Pulau Ubin is to ride the bike. You can hike but it will take you double time. My bike costs 6 SGD. I'm just shocked that they rent it that much even it is posted in the website that it is only for 2 SGD.
I didn't expect that it would be that hard especially the uphill tracks. You need to walk instead. My legs sore and my ass hurts from the bike. It is very uncomfortable.
Anyway, our first stop was the view tower where you can see the mangrove and some birds and airplanes flying. It was scary though since the tower sways a bit. Near the view tower was the mangrove. So we walked there and took some photos. It was awful that the oil spill was present in the mangrove and it smells bad. After that, we headed back to go home. Maybe next time we will head to the West part since we already covered the East part.

Anyway, last night I did my ironing until 12 midnight. I wasn't able to finish it though since my hands were so tired already. I woke up this morning around 9 A.M. and prepared my breakfast. When I was about to take a shower, the other tenant was still inside the bathroom so I waited patiently. After my shower, I wore my gym clothes then rushed to the bus stop. The bus took so long to arrive once again.
I arrived the gym 11 in the morning. There were only a few people, which is a good thing. I am glad that I am back with my usual weights and I don't feel sore. There's just one person in the gym that annoyed me a lot. He is on his late 50s or early 60s. When I saw him I was actually impressed that at his age his body was still in good shape. What's annoying with him is that he wore this sando type shirt that exposes his nips. After lifting the dumbbells, he walked around the gym while looking at his chest and flexing his biceps. The first time he did it was okay but he kept on doing it. He has too much ego for that age.
Anyway, after my workout and a quick shower, I went to North Point to buy some dental stuffs. I was looking for this teeth whitening gel that my dentist used after my dental cleaning. Sadly, I cannot find it. I ended up buying this whitening toothpaste that guarantees to whiten my teeth in just 4 weeks. Let's see if it will work.

This contest is my biggest contest so far with a total of $300 cash prize. There are only a few entries this time and I am wondering what went wrong. Should I assume that most bloggers are too serious in life or my contest is not a catch?
Anyway, I am thinking of creating a second part of Humor Me Makoy Contest. This time would be Humor Me Makoy Photo Contest for my Photo blog. With that, I am asking for comments on how I would improve in running a contest. Any feedback will be appreciated.
This new contest is still tentative and I still need to start on looking for sponsors.

This morning after I took my bath, my 4-year old slippers finally gave up. It is my favorite pair of slippers and you could tell that it is really old. I have to dig in my old photos in Friendster to check how old it is. Well, this slippers was intended for our company outing in 2006 at the White Rock Beach Resort.
I just threw it tonight and I now have to get used with my Havi rubber slippers.
Here is my photo way back 2006 at White Rock wearing my favorite pair of slippers.

There is a total of 23 entries and I have trimmed it down to 15 entries. Last May 16, I have sent the excel file with the fifteen entries to the six sponsors. I was only able to get one response from the sponsors. Thanks to Louie! So the scores will only be based on Louie and yours truly.
Here again are the criteria for judging:
Selected Makoy Funny Story and reason for choosing it - 30%
Contestant's own funny story - 40%
Originality - 20%
Over-all appeal - 10%
And the winners are...
Grand Prize, winner of $200 is Selle:
Kristina: "Mommy you told me that mine is a baby tooth because I'm 5 yrs old and still small". And so Ate Nicole because she's already 7 yrs old, her tooth is not anymore ‘baby tooth’ it is called ‘Ate tooth’ and also she’s older than me. Then auntie Lanie because she’s the oldest among us hers is called ‘Tita tooth’. That’s it mom"
1st Place, winner of $50 is Glenn Paolo:
"That day on my friends nicknamed me the "Bat-Man", which is short for "Batang Manyak" (Perverted Kid). It quite made me the authority on campus pornography for sometime, no thanks to Mark. I didn't just spend a week in detention, but worse still, my mom knew about it from a counselor's summon. Not just her, the principal did so too! And, the whole of the 4th year population!"
2nd Place, winner of $30 is Zenkx:
"Like how we did this weird game of Baka-la-baka, how one of my male classmates took a naked picture of my female classmate while she was changing, how none of us could take a bath because there was no frickin’ water (testosterone-filled male teenagers – bath water = Evil!!!), and how one of my classmates named Queeny freaked because she saw me sleeping like a dead corpse brought out of her casket (you know… straight body, hands over the chest, wearing a white nightgown and pale under the dark light, that kind of creepy stuff XD)."
3rd Place, winner of $20 is Joops:
"No problem, we have a private restroom around the corner that you can use". I proceeded to the private restroom and provided my sample as directed. When I returned to the counter and placed the bottle on the counter, as directed, the lab tech looked up at me and then at the bottle and said, "What is that? All I needed was a urine sample".
Congratulations to all winners! Please send me through email your PayPal details ASAP. Be reminded that PayPal charges the receiver. I'm not sure though how much is the charge.
Once again, thank you to all participants and to all sponsors. I really had fun with this contest! See you!

I have decided to just do the medical on Monday since there is a nearby clinic in our work. I was supposed to go during lunch break but I learned that the queue is very long. So my next move was to go to a clinic near my home. So there I went to clinic 1. I showed my documents and they insisted that I should also do the x-ray. Since I know that I only need to do the blood test, I insisted to only do the blood test. Sadly, they won't budge. So I had no choice but to go on the next clinic. On clinic 2, I had the same problem and they can only collect my blood before 4 P.M. On clinic 3, they also insisted that I also do the x-ray. On clinic 1 by the way, I called my agency and asked for their opinion. Sadly, the one who answered my call doesn't know the answer.
Since I had a bad experience before with my x-ray, I will not allow it to happen again. The 200 plus medical tests is too much to bear. With that, I have decided to just go home. When I reached home, I went to the Ministry of Manpower website and researched. I have learned that the medical form that my agency gave me is 2 years outdated. No wonder, the clinics required me to do both tests. I have called Clinic 3 and told them the situation. I asked her that I will print the new medical form and will return tonight.
Hours ago, I finally had my blood test. I have to wait for three days to get the result. The medical examination is so expensive though! After the medical exam, I rushed to the gym and felt like throwing up afterwards.

When I alighted the bus, I still have time so I have decided to grab a bread to eat. I acted stingy that I only bought two pieces of sugar doughnuts. At the side of the bakery, I ate one of sugar doughnuts.
At the church, I waited patiently for the mass and was surprised with the new priest from India. I was honestly not pleased with the mass since I cannot understand what he was saying. And he looked like he needs to leave early to catch his flight. He was so fast that he didn't let the altar boy finish the spreading of incense.
Anyway, after the mass I was so famished and my tummy was aching. Before I took the bus ride, I bought a watermelon for 2 SDG. Anyway when I reached home, our new tenant was using the toilet so I waited patiently. At my room when I was about to change I notice white dusts on the side of my lips. Apparently, the sugar doughnuts left some evidence. Am I that hungry that I forgot to wipe my lips after my sugar doughnuts incident. The priest didn't even have the courage to tell me to wipe my face. Har har.

Back to the Presidentiables. I find Jamby Madrigal the funniest. Why would she even considered to run for President? Is she that popular? From the latest results, it appeared that even the nuisance candidate was ahead of her. You just wasted your time and money, Mrs. Senator.
On the other hand, the battle for the Vice-President post is still neck-to-neck with Binay and Roxas. Hopefully, we can get the final tally tomorrow. Either Binay or Roxas would be fine with me. As long as they will do the job.
I am commending the COMELEC for doing a good job. Hopefully, in the next elections the system will be improved and everybody are well informed and prepared. Thank you to the media, to the teachers and to the Filipino people.
I am very optimistic that there would finally be change in the Philippines. Let's all be vigilant and stayed informed. The House of Representatives would definitely be interesting this time with GMA as Congresswoman. Hello trapo!

Almost the whole day, I was tuned in to DZMM on my iPhone. Most of the problems during the elections were the machine malfunction and the long queue of voters. Even NoyNoy Aquino encountered the machine malfunction. Because of that, voting was extended until 7 P.M. from the mandated 6 P.M. deadline.
By 6 P.M., the precincts have started sending the electronic returns to COMELEC and so far NoyNoy Aquino is leading for President and Jejomar Binay for Vice-President. It's a surprise for me though to see Joseph Estrada second in the result. Are the Filipino people that stupid to vote for a convicted plunderer? Shame on you all! On the other hand, Binay is leading opposed to survey's usual #1 Mar Roxas. Is it true that they were so confident that Roxas will win.
Anyway, according to COMELEC, by midnight they will have 55% or more votes counted. We can expect the winner tomorrow lunch time.
It's just awful that I did not do my part this election. I will make sure though that in the next election I will register in the embassy if I'm still here in Singapore.

The story was, I let him used my credit card a month ago to purchase his air fare. At the airline counter, he was asked to present a copy of my ID and my credit card. Apparently, when you use credit cards not of the same name, you will need to show that it is legal and was authorized by the credit card holder.
My friend's flight was 9 P.M. and it was 6:30 P.M. that time. He asked me to send a fax copy to him or else he can't leave. I asked him if a picture from my phone will do. The counter said no. It's just the same right? Anyway, I just composed an authorization letter with the photo of my ID and credit card and sent it through email. He was able to print the letter at the laundry shop at the airport for 1 SGD. He was able to fly, thank God!
At the gym, I was surprised that I felt unease. My usual weights felt heavy and I was tired easily. I think I just have to get used to it again. See you again gym next week!

It is just weird that at work, it always rain either morning or late afternoon. I have a feeling that it is just a fake rain or the result of cloud seeding. I'm not sure though if Singapore ventures into cloud seeding. The rain though doesn't help the summer heat here. Oh, help us!
Anyway, this month we have an additional leave for the Labor Day. I just have to pick a day within a month or it would be forfeited. I asked my friends in the office to go in KL or Genting but they all said they don't have money. What tha! Maybe, I'll just go alone to JB or just spend the day at the pool and at the gym. I need to be serious now with my gym session. Too much belly fats to loose.

Yesterday, I celebrated my first year here in Yishun, "the place to be." Time really flies and I have to say that this is the longest place that I have stayed to. Even Yishun is a 45-minute ride to work I kinda got used to it. The good thing though that it is near the city.
So what I have been doing for the last year in Yishun?
Well, I have continued my my swim every week and I have finally ventured in going to the gym. That I have to resume this week. I still haven't achieved the model body that I am wanting. Anyway, I also have tried different recipes, which was very yummy by the way. I now have to research on new recipes so I can post it in my blog.
Aside from food and health, I have finally traveled abroad. I went to Indonesia and Hong Kong. I hopefully can go back to Hong Kong and visit Bangkok, Japan or Taiwan.
Next month by the way marks my second year in Singapore. I am re-applying again for the Permanent Residency and I hope this time it will get approved. Wish me luck!

When it was ten minutes before the show, we were anxious because our other friend was still missing in action. When she finally arrived, we rushed to the theatre and seated. Our seats was on Circle 2 in the last row and it wasn't as bad as I have expected.
Now to my musical review. The musical lasted two hours and a half including the break. I was expecting a lot from the show but it lacked a lot of props. I don't know if the orchestra was supposed to be in the stage but it looks very crowded. The performers can maximize the stage if the orchestra wasn't there.
The performers though were exceptional especially the dance numbers of Roxie and Velma. There were witty scenes that I really liked. In totality, the musical was just okay.
So what's the next in Singapore?
