Ugly Betty has eight more remaining episodes and will conclude this April. The creators and writers of Ugly Betty are now working with the story on how to end the series.
It is a bitter sweet end for Ugly Betty. I must admit that i am one of the avid fans of the show. It is about time to end the series since the story has been off lately. It's just sad that we won't see our loved ugly Betty cast anymore. They are like family to the fans and it would be different without them.
Anyway, what are in store for the cast of Ugly Betty? A spin off maybe?

After our breakfast, we went to the Maritime Square to collect my travel voucher. If you buy an Octopus card (MRT card), you will receive vouchers and discounts that you can use on shops. At the Maritime Square, we saw the Sanrio Village exhibit. You need to pay though to get inside. Since we are at that mall, we went to Marks & Spencer to use the $20 voucher. I think we bought a bottled water and a pack of cookies. Anyway, after our quick drop at that mall, we went to Tung Chung Station where the Ngong Ping cable car was. Maybe on my next Hong Kong trip, I can try the Crystal Cabin. Quite expensive though.
The cable car experience was awesome and the view was magnificent. Before reaching Ngong Ping, you can see a glimpse of the Giant Buddha. Before seeing the attractions at the Ngong Ping, we went for a late lunch. The food was great. I especially liked the honey glazed chicken wings, yum! After our lunch, we went to watch the show "Walking with the Buddha."
After watching the Buddha, we had planned to watch the Monkey's Tale but we were a bit late so we skipped that. Instead, we visited the Giant Buddha. I don't know how many steps to the top but it was worth it. The view was splendid especially with the orange sun. It was just so cold on top of the Giant Buddha so bring your jackets. Lastly, we walked to the Wisdom Path. This path was never ending so after the Giant Buddha, you may want to rest first.
Going home was a hassle though since Ngong Ping closes early. It was a long queue to the cable car unless you want the Crystal Cabin where there is no queue.
See you again Giant Buddha!

In the span of one week, comments from my former classmates tallied almost 100. Most of them misses High School life. I am just silent with the loop but I enjoyed reading their funny stories as they were very open to share it. I then asked myself If I had fun In High School and if I misses it. I honestly can say that I somehow miss it especially my classmates and friends that I have bonded for four straight years. It is just sad that over the years I missed connections with my friends.
Facebook is definitely a miracle in reconnecting people. Anyway, here are the other class pictures. No hate comments please!

Last night, as I have mentioned in my blog I have stopped using my chiro neck pillow and used my old unfluffy pillow. I was early today in the office coz my supervisor called me last Saturday to fix some issues in my application. I was very relieved that when I woke up the pain has depreciated and I can somehow move my neck freely.
I was with my big smile even I was standing at the MRT. I think in a week I can go back to the gym to hurt myself again. Har har. I was so worried of skipping gym but now I don't have to. I arrived the office today 8 A.M. today and was able to fix the bugs before my Supervisor's demo.
Anyone wants to buy a semi-used chiro neck pillow? Hehe. Offer! Offer lah!

I have been doing some stretching now but it seems like I need total rest for my neck. Last friday I was supposed to go to the gym but when I got home to change I felt so lazy.
Anyway, I have thought of it and I have decided to stop going to the gym until my neck is totally healed. I just hope I won't get fat and the little muscle that I have gained won't disappear or shrink. Oh no!
Aside from quitting gym, I need to stop using the neck pillow. I think it is too high for me. Is that British size again? Anyway, Everytime I wake up in the morning it feels like a 9 out of 10 pain level. And it is very hard to get out of my bed.
What's funny is that my back pain totally disappeared. I think it just transferred to my neck. What tha!
Pray for me guys!

When I got my new iPhone, I was so happy that I can be connected on the go. Aside from that I can watch YouTube clips, movies and tv series.
For many days now, it has been a habit of mine to watch old tv series like Felicity, Ally McBeal and the X-Files. I used to watch these series but I haven't completed watching the whole series.
Every morning on my way to the office I usually watch Felicity or the X-Files. On my way home, I then watch Ally McBeal. It's just fun to go home watching this great comedy series. I recommend that you watch this especially if you are tired or stressed from work. The only downside is that people will stare at you when you start giggling or laughing. Also a bit awkward when there is a sexy scene and the one beside you is looking at your iPhone. Awkward!
So, do you have any other old series that I can start watching?

It has been five days now since our Internet at home got a problem. According to my landlord, the problem is with the modem. Singtel people will check on the problem this Saturday so I have to be contented on using my iPhone for Internet.
So what's new with me lately? Nothing much actually. I'm still busy with my deadlines. Anyway, I am very excited with my vacation this April. The other day my eldest sister sent a text message to me asking when will I go home. She is planning an overnight trip at Tagaytay with her husband and my cute niece Anika. Of course, we are tagging along with them. A great time to bond with my Anika and Sam.
Back to the Internet, yesterday I have tried connecting to the Internet using iPhone Tethering. I was only connected for thirty minutes since I was worried of how many Megabytes I will consume. After my browsing, I checked how much I consumed and it is only 30MB I think. I'm using it now and I have prepared this post earlier to save time.
Now, I need to check my farm. Yey, Friday tomorrow!

Yesterday, my friend and I went to Lucky Plaza to get ourselves an OEC (Exit Pass) at i-Remit. After the mass, I went straight to Lucky Plaza. At the tiny room of OWWA, we filled up the form and waited for our turn. When it was my turn, I was informed that they couldn't give me an OEC since my departure from Singapore is more than 60 days. I just hope they would post something in the door with the know-hows so people won't waste their time. Make sure by the way to bring your Passport, employment pass and air ticket. You have to check as well the validity of your OWWA membership. A single OEC costs S$5.50.

Last Tuesday, the world was in shock with the news in Haiti. Haiti was hit by an earthquake with a catastrophic magnitude of 7. The mega earthquake brought damage to Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince. It was estimated that three million people were affected by the earthquake. Officials believed that almost 200,000 people died from the tragedy. Let us all offer prayers to the people of Haiti and if you can donate generously. I honestly feel that the end is near. Frightening yet a wake up call to me that I should do more with my life.
Anyway, here are some photos from Haiti.
God Bless Haiti!

It is almost two months now and I am not yet done with my Hong Kong stories and photos. I have to look at my photos though to remember where I've been that day. Anyway, according to my Day 3 photos of our Hong Kong-Macau Trip, we went to the Bay early morning. Near the bay, there's this trophy like statue that many tourists flocked. That day, the Disney magic was still in me that's why I'm doing the Mickey pose. Wahaha! I'm wearing four layers of clothes by the way.
After some photos at the bay, we walked around the city and went to the Hong Kong Park. On our way to the park, we walked inside Shangri-La hotel. Oh my, that hotel was superb! I will post photos from that hotel in my Photoblog in the coming days. Now back to the Park, the park is very nice with lots of flowers and graduating students taking their photos. I am surprised that there are a lot of photographers there. I enjoyed the pond with Koi fishes and turtles. I thought those turtles were fake but they are very real.
After strolling at Hong Kong Park, we then went to the Peak Tram. At the Peak, you can see the sky line of Hong Kong. There is also Madame Tussauds at the Peak where I had fun taking photos with Brangelina, Astroboy and Jackie Chan. Beat that! It was very cold at the Peak especially it was winter time when we went there. I was literally close to hypothermia. Kidding!
After visiting The Peak and Madame Tussauds, we went back to lower ground and visited the Avenue of Stars, where the City of Lights is also taking place. We were late though so we missed the light show. After that we went home. Exhausting but a fun Day 3 at Hong Kong.
And oh, that night I bought scarfs at the night market near the hotel. Very useful since it is very cold.
If you want to check out my Hong Kong Macau Travel photos, you may visit Makoy's Snapshots and click the Hong Kong label.

Thank God our Internet is finally working. I don't know what's wrong with Singtel but I have been experiencing bad reception. Anyway, after work I went to the gym. I'm thinking of going again this Saturday. I have been drinking this protein powder which tasted weird. It is strawberry flavor by the way. According to what I've read in the net, these protein stuffs help gain muscle and also help shedding some fats. I just hope I can see results soon.
Anyway, I have experienced a lucky incident again with our house toilet bowl. I was about to take a shower when suddenly the clothes that I have placed in my basket toiletries fell on the toilet bowl. Eeew. My other incident was when my newly opened Colgate Whitening toothpaste fell in the toilet bowl. I threw it by the way. Damn!
Moving on to April, I am excited to go home to see my family especially my two nieces and my sister which is based in the UK now. I haven't seen her for almost two years now. I have to talk to her in the coming days to plan for our itinerary. I would love to go to Enchanted Kingdom or somewhere far from the city. Oooh, maybe Baguio! I want to spend more time with my two nieces. I'm afraid they won't know me when they grow up.
I have to save now for my vacation and to do some investments.
To my friends, I hope to see you all.

After Christmas, I went back to the gym to get in shape. As if I gained some pounds over the holidays. Anyway days after, it felt like my neck was broken. I was in the office the last week of 2009 in pain, literally. I was still rushing with some deadlines so I can't take a sick leave to rest.
On the eve of New Year, my friends have invited me to come over to their place. They planned to cook spaghetti and to order some pizza. Aside from that my landlord have invited me to their friend's house to celebrate New Year. I said No since I wasn't feeling well. Biogesic wasn't able to help me with the pain. No fireworks for me this year. Sigh...
When I got home after work, I looked for medicines in my cabinet. During Ondoy, I have donated all of my medicines and what is left is my stomach ache medicine. I was looking for a pain reliever and I saw in one of the medicines a pack of Diazepam, a so-called pain reliever. I was curious what it is and was shocked to know that it is actually a Valium. What the heck is the doctor giving me Valium for stomach ache? Thank God, I didn't take that medicine. Thanks to Wikipedia.
Since I don't have any other pain relievers, I sent a message to my landlord asking if she has Mefenamic Acid. She just told me to search in the medicine container. I took one that instant but there were no difference. That night, I have resorted to do some hot compress on my neck. Thirty minutes before 2010, I went to bed hoping that 2010 won't be a sick year for me.
So far, my neck is better now but still a bit painful. Wow, aside from my usual tummy aches, my back and shoulder pain, there's a new addition, neck pain. Waah!

Finally, here is my recipe for my macaroni salad last Christmas. I knew this recipe from my mom who usually prepares this every Christmas and New Year. There are regular and sweet version of the macaroni salad but my family prefers the regular one.
So here goes the ingredients:
1. 1 kilo elbow macaroni
2. 2 pieces chicken breast
3. 4 big onions, chopped
4. 2 big carrots, chopped
5. 4 big packs of mayonnaise
6. salt and pepper
7. chopped celery
8. raisins
9. pineapple and its syrup
10. water
11. oil
12. cheddar cheese in small cubes
Steps:
1. Put to boil the chicken in a water until it cooks. Shred the cooked chicken in one inch length.
2. In a separate caserole, boil the elbow macaroni in water, salt and oil. Mix occasionally until it is ready.
3. In a big container, mix the cooked elbow macaroni, mayonnaise, onions, carrots, celery, chicken, raisins, cheese and pineapple. Make sure to mix all ingredients properly.
4. Add some salt and pepper according to your taste.
5. Put the macaroni salad in the ref overnight. Serve it chilled.
It looks easy to do, but chopping the onions, celery and carrots are very hard to do. And you should be prepared to mix all ingredients. I suggest that you separate the macaroni in two big containers to make it easier to mix.

After the Christmas party in our company, I went home directly. A night before that I haven't tasted my macaroni salad. I planned that afternoon to do the last minute remedy. Thanks to Ate Juliet by the way for providing the celery since my macaroni salad lacks green. After the last minute remedy I went to sleep. I was so exhausted from my late night cooking and the party.
Anyway, I have invited three friends to celebrate Christmas with me. I told them to come by 8 P.M. and to bring some food. My best friend was the first to arrive since he would leave early for the Indonesian mass. My other two friends arrived an hour later. After we ate, I went to take a bath since my two friends invited me to go with them to their cousin's Christmas Clown party in Boon Lay. I was hesitant to go since I don't know the people in that party and Boon Lay is so far from my place.
At the Clown Party, I was shocked to see them with all the make-up and costumes. We were offered drinks and food but we hesitated since we ate a lot in my place. But after 10 minutes, I asked for the pizza hahaha. Anyway, when we arrived they were voting for the Best Clown. Since it was a tie, the three of us was lucky to decide who is the winner. The winner by the way is the guy below.
They did a lot of games and I was bored. There's this one lady guest in that party that annoyed me a lot. She kept on forcing us (ME!) to join the games (to sub for her actually). I planned to leave that party by 1 A.M. but my other friends were still enjoying so I just sat on the side and waited for it to be over. By 4 A.M., I told them that we should go home. My friends are so nice that they invited me to sleep in their place. I decided to just go home since it would be hard for me to sleep in an unfamiliar place.
It was a 15-minute taxi ride from Boon Lay to my place. I am so lucky that the taxi driver knows my place unlike other drivers that needed directions.
My second Christmas in Singapore is not that bad unlike last year that we just slept. I somehow felt the Christmas spirit. Belated Christmas everyone and a blessed new year!

This is my second Christmas in Singapore. Maybe in two years time if I am a Permanent Resident alreadt, I might consider going home every Christmas. It's just so expensive to go home during Christmas.
Anyway, December 24 was half-day in our office. A day before that I went to the grocery to buy the ingredients for my macaroni salad. Speaking of macaroni salad, I would be posting tomorrow my recipe for that. I spent around 30 SGD for all the ingredients for the 1kg macaroni. When I got home, I boiled the chicken while I was having my dinner. After dinner, I started chopping onions and carrots. That was tough. Would you believe that I finished by 12mn? That macaroni salad was hard labour. Thank God everybody liked it and should I say it was yummy.
December 24 morning, our company had our Christmas party at Fusionpolis. This is my second Christmas party in the company and this time I had fun. We had lots of games and one incident that annoyed me was the Treasure Hunt game. We need to find some items within the building and since we don't have most of the items, my team mates went to the Drugstore to buy. I already contributed my hanky, nail clipper and a picture of Hello Kitty so I felt that I don't need to find some of the items. Me and other Pinay team mate wasn't that into the Treasure Hunt and was just taking photos. After a while, we have decided to go to the Drugstore to somehow cooperate. We then saw our two Indian team mates and other teams. I was shocked that I was asked by one of them if I have money. I only have 10 dollars in my wallet and I replied "10" to her. I didn't get any items from the store by the way.
My Pinay team mate got a curler which I was supposed to pay since she doesn't have cash as well. We we're on queue when my other Indian team mate suddenly harrassed me to pay for the items she's buying. I was in shock that I replied her sarcastically. But she kept on forcing me to pay. That was really humiliating since my other officemates are in queue. I ended up giving my ATM to the cashier to pay for the items. She then said that I don't have to worry that she will pay. Until this morning she hasn't paid me a cent. I'm thinking of talking to my Supervisor or our Agent if she will still ignore paying me. In the first place, what are they doing in the Drugstore if they don't have money?
After all the games, our team won the first place. We all got 20 SGD vouchers from Fair Price. My Christmas eve and the Clown theme party story tomorrow!

I am going to start this post with a big shout out to everyone who has supported me for almost four years since I started blogging. Thank you very much! It just warms my heart to hear feedbacks from people especially Pinoys all over the world who reads my blog.
Anyway, I have been on hiatus for almost a month now. I don't know what's wrong with me but it feels like I lost the drive to write again. Maybe my work has something to do with this phase. I have been busy lately with a lot of projects. I'm thankful though that I was able to handle it.
It's 2010 and it is just right to pledge some resolutions. Here are some of my top 10 resolutions that I have thought:
1. To write everyday.
2. Be more cheerful.
3. To stay positive.
4. Be friendly and less snobby. I'm friendly right?
5. To sleep early.
6. To finally have a six-pack abs. LOL!
7. To save more. 2009 was all about spending.
8. Travel more. This contradicts with #7. Haha.
9. Be closer to God.
10. Diet!
2009 is also a year of pending for me. Would you believe that I haven't finished my series of photos of my Bintan Indonesia trip; stories and photos from Hong Kong; and lastly what happened this Christmas and New Year? That I would start writing tomorrow. Hopefully, I can get back my writing drive.
Happy New Year everyone!
