Kare-Kare ala Makoy Recipe
Yesterday, I have finally tried cooking "kare-kare" for the first time. I must admit that I need more practice to perfect this dish. Anyway, I am going to share my recipe and the way to cook it. I need to revise from my own cooking since it's not perfect.

1. ox tail or beef cubes
2. water
3. Mama Sita's kare-kare mix
4. 2 tablespoon peanut butter
5. banana bud
6. petchay
7. eggplant
8. long beans
9. garlic
10. cooking oil
12. salt

1. Put to boil the ox tail or beef in a boiling water. Once the meat is ready, mix in the Mama Sita's kare-kare mix. Add in the peanut butter then mix.

2. On a separate pan, sautee the garlic in a cooking oil. Once it turned golden brown, mix in the banana bud, eggplant, long beans and lastly the petchay leaves.

3. Now mix the sauteed vegetables to the oxtail/beef soup. Add some salt if desired.

Serve with hot rice and bagoong on the side.

if you can't find kare-kare mix, try rice giniling and atsuete powder instead...

Kare-kare is one of my favorite viands and I know how to cook it without Mama Sita but using peanut butter. The important is you have alamang or patis for adding the taste.
