Filipina Maid Inherited Millions From Employer
This week, it was reported in the Straits Times that a Filipina maid inherited 6 million Singapore dollars from her employer. The Filipina maid who was kept on the name of "Christine" worked for more than 20 years to her Singaporean medical doctor employer.

Christine, a 47-year-old single woman refused to be named because of fear of possible threats in her life. Her employer, Quek Kai Miew, died last year at the age of 66. She also told to the Straits Times that she all knew about the inheritance as her employer mentioned it in 2008.

She also told that she still breaks down every time she remembers her employer. She has spent more years to her employer than to her mother.

Anyway, her inheritance includes cash and a luxury apartment in Orchard Road. She is now applying for a Permanent Residency status in Singapore.

This story is really something. I just hope she can now enjoy life and somehow manage her new found wealth.
