Now to my review. Avatar is an almost three-hour fantasy film by James Cameron, the man behind the worldwide hit Titanic. Just this morning, I have checked my Facebook News Feed and was reading some feedbacks about Avatar. I don't know if it is just me or the movie is just dragging and over-rated. The movie is just okay with me even the special effects are awesome. I just find it off and unrealistic that a human will choose to be Na'vi in the end (Ooops, spoiler!). Well, this is a fantasy movie. The movie is so long that some parts are dragging especially in the beginning.

I was fascinated by the way with the Immigration of JB. The new building is finally operational and it was much convenient for travelers. When we arrived at the nearest mall, we went looking for Kenny Rogers. That was by the way our initial purpose of visiting JB. The food was good but the service was very poor.
After our lunch at Kenny Rogers, we have decided to go to other places. We took a cab to visit nearest Waterfalls but the taxi driver doesn't know where it is. We alighted then at the Sikh Temple where we had our first photo session. We then went to the Bazaar Street but it opens at night time. On our way to the Chinese Temple, we went to the mall to pee. On our way back, we were suddenly approached by Marketing people of a certain spa. We ended up having a facial treatment for 1 hour and 45 minutes for only 29 RM (12 SGD). Cool and cheap right?

Anyway, one problem that I am facing with my iPhone is the noticeably fast draining of battery. Most of the time, I only listen to the iPod and browse the web. After Lea's concert, my friend helped me configured my iPhone's email to maximize its battery. Here's what you need to do, go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars then select Fetch New Data. Change the setting to Hourly and turn the Push to Off. Limiting to just hourly fetching will lessen your iPhone's processing thus saving energy.
Anyway, this morning I read an article from Apple on how to Maximize your iPhone's battery. Here are some of their tips:

The Concert Hall was packed and I was glad that most of the attendees are Filipinos. Lea sang some old songs, Broadway songs, her Disney songs and of course some Filipino songs ("Ikaw", her wedding song and a Jose Mari Chan song). I was expecting for some classic Christmas songs but it was not included in her repertoire. My favorites from her selection are the following: "Taylor, the Latte Boy", "Rehab", "I Dreamed A Dream" and "On My Own."
Before the end of the concert, Lea called on someone to sing a duet for her Disney song "A Whole New World." The guy was "scriptedly" prepared. Anyway, he did great and Lea was impressed with him. He was a Singaporean by the way.

If you are in Singapore, you can write your wishes at the Esplanade and at City Link mall. These white inflatable balls by the way will be placed at the Marina Bay during the New Year's countdown.
So what is my wish? Good health for my family and more blessings and happiness.

Anyway, tomorrow night I'll be seeing Lea Salonga for the second time in Singapore. She is having a one night concert at the Esplanade. This time I am prepared, when I was in Hong Kong I bought a handy binoculars so I can see Lea closely. Haha. I just hope it is allowed inside. See you Alex and Mhae tomorrow!
By Thursday, I'll continue posting my Hong Kong-Macau photos and also tell some of my adventures there. It is a 7 day-vacay so I have a lot to write. For those who want to see my Hong Kong-Macau photos , you may visit my Photo blog .

At Disneyland, we were able to take pictures with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, ate at the Disneyland Bakery, watched the Parade with snow effects at the end, watched the Festival of the Lion King, took a ride at "It's A Small World", watched the Golden Mickeys and the Disneyland Fireworks. That was magical by the way.
Before leaving Disneyland, we did out last minute shopping at their Souvenir shops.

Yesterday after work, my friends and I watched New Moon at Cineliesure, Orchard. The cinema was full and I was a surprised that there are a lot of Pinoys who watched.
To those who haven't watched yet, don't worry there are no spoilers in this review. Here goes... I am not a fan of Twilight from the beginning and I had a little hope for the second installment. Sadly, the movie disappointed me again and I can say that it is crappy. The parts of the movie that I only enjoyed was when the crowd in the cinema was screaming and making funny comments.
I also noticed that there are a lot of shirtless scenes from Taylor Lautner. Is that even needed in the movie? One or two shirtless scenes is okay but more than that is such plain OVER.
The addition of Dakota Fanning in the cast is refreshing at least there is one real actor in the movie. I just hope the acting of the main cast will improve. They only have one facial expression.

This is the continuation of my Day 1 in Hong Kong. I had my dinner at the Supreme Beef Brisket Soup at Temple Street and it was absolutely delicious. I had the Beef Brisket Soup with rice and hot milk tea. That milk tea wasn't good for me. My tummy ached that night.
Anyway, after my dinner I went to see the night market which is in the stretch of Temple Street. I saw a lot of cheap goods. Aside from the night market in Temple Street, there are also a night market on the other block. That other block by the way has more goods for sale and what is shocking to me is the sale of some "personal" toys. If you have kids with you better skip this night market.

Anyway, back to my Hong Kong-Macau trip, I will just enumerate some of the destinations that we went.
Day 1, November 19
The night before my trip I watched 2012 with my friends at AMK Hub. They weren't aware that I was leaving the next day and they were asking me what happened to me when I returned. I just don't like to brag that's all. Anyway, after the movie, I finished my packing and slept around 2 A.M. I left the house 4 A.M. since my flight is 6:40 A.M. I arrived Hong Kong International Airport by past 10 A.M. The second I stepped my foot outside the plane, I felt the cold weather. It was very refreshing and it made me very ecstatic. The coldest that I've been was in Baguio and it wasn't as cold as Hong Kong. At the airport, I had my lunch at Burger King. I even had the time to take some pictures. Thank you to those who helped me take my solo pictures. I was so brave to ask strangers hahaha. I was solo by the way to Hong Kong. I just met my friends at the hotel later that day since we all came from different countries.
