Over the past week, Chico and Delamar had announced that they are giving away 2 iPod Nano for those who can send their ugliest photos. On yesterday's podcast, Chico revealed that there are winners already and that he had posted it in his blog. I immediately checked it today and was in shock to see their photos. It was really ugly.

The ugliest photo of Chico is from Cherry Dean while Glace Ocampo sent in the ugliest photo of Delamar. Chico should post a before and after picture to redeem themselves. Hehe.

Over the past week, I have noticed that I have been slacking with blogging. I have realized that I have to do something to change this attitude. I have to lessen my Tv addiction and give more attention with my passion in writing and making money online.

Speaking of making money online, I have started to check my current link partners if I am still linked in their sites. It's just disappointing that most of them deleted my link already. I will start this post with a birthday greeting to my friend Karla.  We had a blast at Sentosa yesterday where we enjoyed riding the luge.  I have finally watched "Songs of the Sea."  Woot!  I have recorded it by the way.  I will definitely post the three parts of the recording soon.

After our Sentosa get away, we were invited on the spot by Karla to go to their place (and to cook, huwat).  We said yes and we bought some spaghetti ingredients at Giants.

Anyway, I was the head chef with my two assistants Chona and Jojo.

Finally, my birthday is over and I am very grateful to those who have greeted me.  To those who forgot, "Mga panget kayo."  Hehe.

On my birthday, I have planned to swim and to attend the mass to say my birthday prayer.  The night before my birthday, I was taking a hot shower when suddenly I hurt my back.  I was shampooing my hair when something snapped.  I woke up that morning still with the pain in my back so my swimming was definitely out of the picture.  It was past 11 in the morning so it was almost lunch time.  I still have some leftover Sinigang na Hipon but with few kangkong.  I went to Fair Price to buy some kangkong then re-heat the sinigang with the additional kangkong.  While re-heating, I also cooked "Patola with miswa and Chicken Balls."

After my brunch, I took a bath then went on with my TV marathon.  By 5 P.M., I prepared to go to the church.  On my way to the church, I went to check for cakes.  It was disappointing that the Black Forest cake costs S$10.  Luckily, I saw a chocolate muffin that only costs 80 cents.  Hihi.  I arrived the church 15 minutes early and there was an ongoing Rosary prayer.  After I said my prayers, I just waited there for the mass to start.

After three years of blogging, I think I had enough of maintaining five blogs.  I have been busy with my work and my gym workout that I don't have extra time to update my blogs anymore.  I have decided to give up my three blogs (Music, Entertainment and Make Money Online).  Of course, I am maintaining my personal and photo blogs.

Last August 1st, I have submitted my Permanent Residency form and supporting documents to the ICA Building in Kallang.  After my submission, they have given me a letter with a reference number stating that it will take three months to process my application.  After two months, I have received a letter from ICA saying that my PR application was disapproved.  Wah!

Anyway, I have friends and officemates that have tried applying for PR.  However, most of them did not pass.  I only have one officemate that passed.  According to the forums and observations, you will definitely get approved if you are married.  The Singapore government is looking for individuals that will stay long in Singapore and would eventually become a citizen.

I'm not sure if salary has a major factor in the disapproval.  I heard from a friend that someone got disapproved even his salary is high.  Most of those that I know that did not pass belongs to the "S Pass" classification (including me).  From the letter that I received, the other reason is the change in residence.  I think before applying, you should at least have stayed in your current house for one year.

Good news to all Filipinos in Singapore!  Our very own Lea Salonga is staging a one-night concert at the Esplanade Concert Hall this December 16th. Concert starts at 7:30 P.M. and will run for 75 minutes without intermission.

Lea Salonga is well-known for her Broadway musical Miss Saigon which earned her the Best Actress Award in a Musical from the Tony Awards, Laurence Olivier Awards and Drama Desk Awards. Aside from Miss Saigon, she has done numerous musicals like Les Miserables, Cinderella and the Flower Drum Song. She is also the singing voice behind the Disney heroines Mulan and Jasmine of Aladdin.

This story was delayed for almost a month now.  Well, here goes my last day at Bintan Lagoon Resort.

Monday morning, I woke up earl then had my breakfast prepared by the mommies in our group.  I had some fried egg, luncheon meat and rice.  After that, I went to my room then wore my swimming trunks.  I applied some tanning spray then went to the pool to try again tanning for the second time.  It was a super hot morning and I was excited to darken my skin.  I re-sprayed again myself then waited patiently for the burning effect.  Haha.  Tanning was actually a hard feat.  Thank God, I brought a cold soda in a can.

Three weeks ago, I went to mass at the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea.  I have finally located the church and had decided to go to mass there every Sunday.  Novena Church is quite far from my place and it is quite hot there.

So far, I am enjoying my mass there.  I just have to get used with the new environment especially the way they sing.  It's just different from all the churches in Singapore that I have been to.

Last week was fun at church.  I am also grateful that they had the time to collect cash donations for the victims of the latest calamities.  This morning's mass, they have announced that they had collected almost 12,000 SGD.  That will go to the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam and Laos.  Thanks to those who donated.

When we were in our last day in Bintan, Indonesia, I was able to watch a snippet of the reality show "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here."  One of the contestants there is American Idol alumni, Sanjaya Malakar.  Anyway, that show is obviously Survivor.  Speaking of Survivor, I have started watching the newest season of Survivor.  It has been a long time since I have watched it.  Would you believe that the mother of all reality shows is now on its 19th season.  I still can remember Sue and Richard and of course Rob and Amber.

Aside from Survivor, I have watched "The Biggest Loser" and "The Amazing Race."  Two of my favorite reality shows before.

Moving away from the reality shows, there are many US TV series that returned these past few weeks.  To name a few:  Brothers & Sisters, CSI, CSI: NY, Desperate Housewives, Ghost Whisperer, Grey's Anatomy and How I Met Your Mother.  There are also new shows that premiered.  I enjoyed watching Accidentally on Purpose, Cougar Town, Drop Dead Diva, Glee and the Vampire Diaries.

It has been almost two months since I posted a recipe.  Anyway, here is one of the famous Filipino dish, "Sinigang Na Hipon."  This is one of my favorite dish and it is easy to cook.

Here are the ingredients that you will need:
1. shrimp
2. kangkong leaves
3. onion (cut into quarters)
4. tomato (cut into quarters)
5. Sinigang mix
6. okra, eggplant, green chili (optional)

Here are the simple steps:
1. Set to boil the onion and tomato.
2. Once it is boiling, add the shrimp then pour the Sinigang mix.  Wait until it boils.
3. Add the okra, eggplant and green chilis.  Once the vegetables are cooked, turn off the heat then add the kangkong.  Mix then cover the pan.

It has been days that I haven’t posted anything new in my blog. I have been under the weather since typhoon Ketsana hit the Philippines. It was sad and at the same time I feel proud of my fellow Filipinos that helped the victims of the typhoon. I am also very thankful to other nations that donated especially to Singapore.

Anyway, I have been feeling lonely these past few days. I have been missing home and my family. Yesterday, I received a text message from my sister that my mom sounds sick. I was worried that I called her. Apparently, she can’t sleep for two days. She has been busy cleaning our house. Our housemaid hasn’t returned yet since Friday. She’s so stressed. My other sibling was in ABS-CBN yesterday volunteering. I just told her to go home early to check our mom. She just gave some sleeping pills to my mom and she was doing great this morning.

I also phoned my eldest sister. Her daughter’s baptism is scheduled this 11th and I can’t go to the ceremony. The fare is too expensive. Since I am also a god parent, I asked her on what gift she wants for my niece. She liked this “tushy wushy” cloth diaper that is a replacement for the disposable diapers. I might buy 12 pieces.

It has been six days since typhoon Ondoy hit the Philippines.  Many Filipinos lost their homes and sadly there are some fatalities.  An estimate of 2 million Filipinos have been affected by the typhoon.

To my readers, I am seeking your help for donations and generosity to volunteer.  Some parts of the affected areas haven't received any relief goods and are in need of clothing, food, water, medicines and blankets.  I am also asking for your prayers to the affected families in the Philippines and also to our neighbor countries that were affected by the same typhoon.
