Anyway, I have friends and officemates that have tried applying for PR. However, most of them did not pass. I only have one officemate that passed. According to the forums and observations, you will definitely get approved if you are married. The Singapore government is looking for individuals that will stay long in Singapore and would eventually become a citizen.
I'm not sure if salary has a major factor in the disapproval. I heard from a friend that someone got disapproved even his salary is high. Most of those that I know that did not pass belongs to the "S Pass" classification (including me). From the letter that I received, the other reason is the change in residence. I think before applying, you should at least have stayed in your current house for one year.
Anyway, I also heard that ICA already reached their quota for the year. I hope this is not true. If that is the case, they should have made an announcement so that applicants won't be hopeful.

Was filing for PR a long process? Do they have a limit to how many times you can apply or a period before you can apply again? I'm trying to apply for jobs there and maybe also apply for PR later on. Thanks in advance!
filing for PR takes only less than a hour. You can re-apply after 6 months or even send an appeal letter once you have a new supporting document.
