Noy Noy Aquino for President?
I think it was last week that Presidential aspirant Mar Roxas withdrew his candidacy to run as President in 2010. His move according to him was to unite the Liberal Party, which he is the President. He then gave way to his co-party Noy Noy Aquino to run as President.

I’m not sure whether to applaud Mar Roxas for giving way to Noy Noy Aquno but this move gave him more “pogi” points for the voters. I’m not sure though for the victory of Noy Noy Aquino. He doesn’t have the leadership quality to lead the country. And what has he done in the last 3 terms as a Congressman and his current term as a Senator? I did not even see him active in the Senate and in the Congress. Is he even ready? Being the son of Ninoy and Cory doesn’t mean that you can lead a country. And it doesn’t mean that Cory’s magic will work for you.

Will you vote for Noy Noy? Speaking of voting, I have missed the absentee voting registration here in Singapore. I think I have to go home in the 2010 elections just to vote. Sigh!

Neither would I vote for him, too.

He hasn't even had the balls to implement the provisions of the Agrarian Reform law in his own turf, particularly the Hacienda Luisita in Tarlac.

What kind of leadership could we expect from him for an economic liberation in our country? He didn't even lift a finger to free the poor farmers from bondage.

Not even the US-educated economist Gloria Arroyo could refuse the greed of the multinational corporations...for she herself is swallowed by greediness!!

"Itutuloy natin ang laban" Noynoy said in his declaration yesterday. Ano ba ang ipinaglalaban the halls of the senate...or on the streets?

There is no voice of Noy-Noy Aquino!!!

Thanks for the comment Jess. I hope people will research on each aspirant and not base their votes on popularity or namesake.

honestly speaking I am not really impressed by everybody else who had been criticizing him, I can't think of anything that he did exceptionally well in the senate or in the congress before. Or maybe he is not like the other senators or congressmen who boasts of the things they did. We seldom see him on TV interviews. Hindi rin siya mahilig makisawsaw sa mga isyung sinasawsawan ng ibang mg pilitiko para bumango ang pangalan sa mga tao.

But I can't endorse anybody, among those who have expressed their intentions to run as president, who I think is deserving. I just hope that whoever the Filipinos will choose to lead them they will choose wisely and pray for God's enlightenment as well. We all need that.

mananalo si Noynoy sa tingin ko. MALAKAS Talaga, PERO HINDI KO SIGURO IBIBIGAY ANG BOTO KO SA KANYA.

Great Post parekoy! =)

I will never vote for Noy. The only reason he wanted to go for the Presidency is because of the large support of the people and his friends, and that's not enough.

Running for Presidency should be a calling; It shouldn't be based on public clamor alone. You have to want it in your heart, with or without the support of the people or anybody else.

It's sad that Mar backed down. He was one of the candidates that has his own voice. Another sad thing is those pathetic ads that his campaign managers made. (Mar on a Pedicab? He's an Araneta for pete's sakes!)

With all the candidates, I would personally go with Villar. Not because he's the best, but because he's the lesser evil.. LOL!

Yeah, I think all this attention given to him is manufactured by a few who are riding on the unfortunate demise of Cory.

The question remains, if Cory were still arrive today, would we even think of Noynoy as a presidential candidate? The media seem to have already anointed him as the next president and its so crazy (and at times so annoying).

Again, we seem to have been riding on sentimentality rather than reason.

When will we ever learn? He doesn't come across as a leader at all. Mar would have been a better and more credible candidate. Even Kris Aquino looks more credible than Noy.

As an undecided voter, I'm not closing my doors on him but I'm hoping there would be a better alternative than Noy.

Also, I salute your intention to vote in next year's election even if it would mean going back to the Philippines just to make it happen. Great post as well!
