Yesterday, I have finally called my mom to check on them. Thank God, they were all okay. The flood water reached our home above knee deep and our beds were submerged. I am thankful that our neighbors in Paranaque helped my mom and dad. I felt so guilty that I’m not there to help. My youngest sister though was stranded at work and was asleep the whole day yesterday. She was on duty 24 hours in the clinic.
Yesterday also in Facebook, a new personality rose to fame. A Filipina that is currently based in Dubai made a comment about the incident in the Philippines. She remarked in her exact words, “buti n lng am hir in dubai! Maybe so many sinners bak der! So yeah deserving wat hapend!” (I am so lucky, I am in Dubai. Maybe there are many sinners in the Philippines that they deserved the tragedy)
Those words really ticked me off and the majority of the Filipinos that are in Facebook. I am disgusted with her that I made a comment that she should rot in hell. After a while, I felt guilty of my remarks. I shouldn’t make a comment like that. That makes me just like her. Instead of wasting our energy and time to Jacque, we can focus our attention in helping our fellow Filipinos.
