Yesterday, I have posted my first day in Bintan, Indonesia. Now, I will continue with my second day at the Bintan Lagoon Resort.
Since our first day at Bintan was quite rainy, I made it a point to wake up early on our second day (Sunday). I have planned to go to the pool and spray some tanning formula. When I arrived the pool, no one was still there. I have managed to get a nice spot and expose myself to the sun. Unfortunately, the sun wasn't cooperating so I just went swimming. I didn't stay that long since we are planning to go to Ole Ole. At our villa, I took a bath then waited for them to get ready. We went to the hotel lobby to pay for the shuttle ride then waited patiently for it to arrive. We left the hotel around 10 A.M. and we were in Ole Ole 20 minutes after, I think. We have so much time at Ole Ole since the shuttle will fetch us by 3:30 P.M.
Ole Ole by the way is the market place in Bintan. There are many souvenir shops (expensive by the way), garment shops and also some restaurants. I have managed to buy two souvenirs for myself that I will post maybe tomorrow. We had our lunch by the way at Elo Elo. I had the spicy fried rice with seafood and fried egg on top while they had the famous Indonesian fried chicken. Damn, I should have tried that one.
We finished our Ole Ole trip quite fast. We just hopped stores to take time since the bus will arrive only by 3:30 P.M. I was literally exhausted from walking. Our last stop was the arcade. The kids just played there while the not so young ones just sat on the side. Before 3:30 P.M., after I went to the toilet, I saw a signage that says Bintan Mangrove. I told them about it and we went to check it out. The boat ride is quite expensive, 30+ SGD per person. I just took some pictures then we left.
When we returned to the villa, we went swimming to the big pool. We even played basketball at the pool. After that, we went to the other pool with the slide. That I really enjoyed. There are even French kids that did some stuffs at the slide. After the pool, we're not yet done. We went to the beach even if it is dark. We played beach volleyball and took some pictures. Anyway, after a tiring pool and beach adventure, we headed home and did some barbeque. This time, I was assigned to do the QA if the chicken and pork are cooked already.
After the barbeque, we had our dinner at the dining area. Delicious!
My last story tomorrow.
