Jersey BoysFor the second edition of my Broadway series, I am featuring “Jersey Boys.” This is a documentary-style musical which is based on the most successful 1960s rock n’ roll group “the Four Seasons.” If you are not familiar with “the Four Seasons”, they are the songs behind “Can’t Take My Eyes Of You”, “Sherry”, “Walk Like A Man”, “Big Girls Don’t Cry” and “Rag Doll.”

Jersey Boys castThe musical basically is the story of the members of the Jersey Boys: Frankie Castelluccio, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Macioci. They are Italian dropouts that desired wealth and fame. Backed with their love for singing, the first three join forces and formed a group. A rags to riches story that everyone will like especially with their famous songs.

Jersey Boys since it opened on Broadway in 2005 has won numerous Tony awards like Best Musical, Best Actor, Best Featured Actor and Best Lighting Design. It also grabbed a Grammy Award for the Best Musical Show Album.

Wanting to have a well-deserved London theatre breaks?
