Martin Nievera Lupang Hinirang ControversyIn the past three days, Martin Nievera's "Lupang Hinirang" incident have been a topic to most bloggers. I am honestly irritated that it's getting bigger each day and it's flooding my inbox from the PBS Yahoo Groups.

Anyway, when I first heard his rendition to the Philippines' National Anthem during the Pacquia-Hatton match, it sounded really nice. Some changes on the tone and phasing made the song more meaningful to me.

Wouldn't it be meaningful if we focus more on the bigger problems of our country and not this petty song rendition? Political ads, Swine flu, Corruption....

Just my thoughts.

I share the same sentiments. I actually loved his version of the national anthem. At least it wasn't like the usual super slow versions. And he wasn't the only one who didn't stick to the original melody of the song so why the need to pound on him on and on?
