Last Thursday night, I was cooking my dinner when suddenly my back suddenly ached. I did not do anything that can hurt my back. I thought that the pain would be gone the next day. Friday morning, I woke up still with the pain. I have to hold on to the side of my bed just to get up. The pain is really terrible, almost a 10 pain level. I have then decided not to go to work so I can rest and recuperate from this terrible back pain. I sent a SMS message to my supervisor and my recruitment agent that I won't be coming to the office.

Friday after lunch, I then went to the clinic near our block since I cannot take the pain anymore. It was a long queue in the clinic. When it was my turn, I told the doctor my problem. He let me stand and he checked the portion of my back that was hurting. He even asked me to bend, but it was too painful to do so. According to the doctor, the muscle in my back was sprained. He asked me about my job and told me to stand up every 45 minutes and walk. He also said that I should watch my posture. He then prescribed me pain killers and a muscle relaxant ointment for my back. The consultation and the medicine by the way costs $22. When I was back in our house, I ate crackers and took the pain killers. I also applied the ointment on my back to ease the pain.

Saturday, my swimming day, was still a terrible day. The pain was still there and it felt like its going to stay for a long time. I have to skip swimming since it would just worsen my back pain. The only solution that I thought was to have a good massage on my back. I remember this Reflexology center near the clinic and have decided to pamper my back with a massage. The full body 1 hour massage cost $40 and I was optimistic that my back pain would be gone after that 1 hour session. The reflexology center is just small, at the entrance there are two stools for the foot massage and four beds for the body massage. My therapist directed me to the first bed and changed to their shorts.

The first 10 or 20 minutes of massage was terrible. It was too painful for me. I don't know if the therapist knows what he is doing. I am certain that I told them that I want reflexology, but it looked a different style of massage. The only part of the massage that I enjoy was the stretching. My bones literally pops with sound.

After the massage, I bought pizza from the bakery for $2.20 and ate it when I arrived home. I went to take a nap before 4 P.M. and was sleeping sound until 9 P.M. I was really tired from the massage and the pain from my back is still there.

Just this morning, I felt better but the pain is still there. I woke up almost 10 A.M. and had the pizza left over for breakfast. I took my medicines and applied the ointment afterwards. I just hope the back pain would be gone tomorrow. It would be terrible to have this pain while working.
