Gong Li Now A Singaporean

I think this story was old news. This story was in Singapore news when I was still in Punggol last September. Just last Monday, it has been confirmed that Gong Li, the Chinese-born Hollywood actress is now a Singaporean.
Over the weekend, the "Memoirs Of A Geisha" and "Farewell My Concubine" star collected her Singapore citizenship certificate from the assistant to lawmaker Lee Bee Wah last Saturday.
This action of Gong Li made a lot of harsh reactions from the Chinese people. She was even called a traitor. Let's just leave Gong Li's citizenship issue to rest. I think she feels more Singaporean than being a Chinese since she has married a Singaporean businessman last 1996.
