Beyonce If I Were A Boy ControversyI have been hearing this new song of Beyonce titled, "If I Were A Boy." The melody and
lyrics are nice and the song has definitely has a soul. What you didn't know is that this song wasn't a song for Beyonce. This song was actually written and recorded by an up and coming singer "BC Jean" (born Britney Carlson). After BC Jean's record deal did not push through, her manager sold the song to Beyonce Knowles without BC Jean's permission.

BC JeanThere are articles form different blogs saying that Beyonce are fishing for the writing credits for this song and her other songs. Just like what happened in her hit track, "Irreplaceable." Beyonce's camp said that Beyonce wrote Irreplaceable when in fact it was Ne-Yo who wrote it.

Anyway, I read that the conflict between BC Jean and Beyonce are all settled now after BC Jean filed a complaint. Sources say that BC Jean and Beyonce had agreed to have a duet on BC Jean's debut album.

Listen to the original version of If I were A Boy by BC Jean.

There is a case of marketing racism which reflects society.

this is very common in an industry strongly influenced by the thought of originality. i hope this is proven untrue.

what is it that make them say that the songs are own composition of the singer? why not just accept the fact that some are born singer or performer and some are good behind it..

Make or Break

the title if I were a boy, reminds me that my mom told me if I were a boy I will be given away.
